We had an amazing turnout and successful Annual Oxnard Community Turkey Giveaway and Connie Lemus Memorial at the La Colonia Park located in The Colonia Neighborhood 170 N Juanita Ave. in Oxnard, CA 93033.  Over a thousand people showed up!

Tis the season to be grateful. We handed out over 700 turkeys just in the Colonia Park alone. Several hundred more were going to be given away at other locations in Oxnard.

The event took place Saturday Nov. 18th 11am-3pm La Colonia Park in Oxnard from 11am to 3 pm full of games, giveaways, and fun. I am a grateful sponsor of this event along with other wonderful organisations that reach out to our communities to give back and help out in any way possible. Thank you to all that brought their friends and family for a moment of celebration, fun and gratitude!

Event date: Saturday Nov. 18th 11am-3pm La Colonia Park Oxnard

A Note about La Colonia Neighborhood:

La Colonia is a located in the central portion of the city of Oxnard, California, USA. The neighborhood was laid out by the Colonia Land Improvement Company in close proximity of the sugar factory and beet fields to house workers just east of the city's downtown business district. It is home to many hard working families. You can also find the César Chávez memorial and the popular La Colonia Youth Boxing Club, which has produced notable world class fighters and champions.
